Chef Oliver Hunt and his wife Mary began taking trips to Mexico City and have fond memories of eating tacos, drinking tequila, and music-filled nights in the beautiful city. Their inspiration behind Boca Rica was borne out of these memories, coupled with the desire to recreate those flavors, sights, and sounds in a way that others could enjoy.
Boca Rica's menu features Chef Oliver's interpretation of street food classics, utilizing the best available local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients rooted in multi-generational tradition and technique. The equally-spirited bar program features unique craft cocktails and beer, as well as a range of eclectic Mexican spirits curated by Bar Director, Nicholas Duhamel.
The name "Boca Rica" directly translating to "Rich Mouth", plays homage to rich flavors, rich tastes, rich conversations, and the rich friendships that develop in tandem with eating and drinking.
This nexus of nostalgia, food, and music is what forms the underpinnings of what we hope to become one of Mequon's most popular and beloved taquerias.
